Irish Architectural Awards 2013, Ballyroan Library

We are delighted to have been a part of the design team that won this years Architectural Award for the Best Public Building . We were involved from the very early stages in the design process on this build , thanks to our relationship with Gary Mongey and ourselves the lighting design integration into the structure worked really well, working to maximise the daylighting element as well as the artificial source.

“Wink were invaluable in developing the lighting scheme for Ballyroan Library and the light fittings sit seamlessly into the buildings architecture and become part of the architecture. Wink lighting is always our first point of call when looking for lighting proposals that complement and enhance the architecture we try and create and we look forward to working with Rocky on future projects.” Gary Mongey

Enduardo Lopes Galeazzo of Energy Management  officier SDCC ,speaking about The Ballyroan Library ;
The building looks fantastic the architectural, structural, lighting, H&S among others are excellent and the energy efficiency of the build is in a high level (A3) standard.

We are all proud of that building and our target is to increase the number of high efficient buildings throughout the county.

Congratulations to Gary and the team for winning the Award.
