Our lighting designer, Conor O’Byrne provided lighting design and supply services for IPUT Real Estate ‘Making it Work’ office fit-out at 1 Hume Street.
Making it Work offers flexible work spaces with employees wellbeing at its heart.
1 Hume Street is a WELL Certified building, meaning it facilitates improvement to the health and well-being of the people who use the building.
Our lighting designer, Conor is a WELL Accredited professional and he ensured the office adheres to the WELL standard of lighting.
His approach to lighting the main working areas in the office is to use a combination of direct and indirect light to achieve a very low glare for a really comfortable working environment.
The downlight element has a very controlled beam element and low UGR (Unified Glare Rating) and that combined with the uplighting element reduces glare further.
For around the perimeter areas of the office, asymmetric wall washing recessed lights weremused to illuminate the walls so it eliminates a shadowy area high on the walls.
The office canteen was finished in a warmer colour temperature to create separate relaxed areas within the open office.
