About Us

Our approach to LIGHTING DESIGN & SUPPLY

Wink is an Irish lighting design and supply practice with over 30 years’ experience working across residential, commercial, hospitality, heritage, and public realm projects.

We collaborate with architects, designers, and clients to develop lighting that is considered, technically resolved, and appropriate to each project. Our role is to support the design intent, ensuring lighting integrates with the architecture rather than being applied as an afterthought.

Our work combines design thinking with practical delivery — from early concept through to specification, supply, and on-site

approach

Each project is approached on its own terms.

We consider how light shapes space, supports use, and contributes to the overall experience of a building. This includes balancing visual comfort, performance, and atmosphere, while responding to constraints such as budget, programme, and existing conditions.

We work with established manufacturers and current lighting technologies to deliver reliable, efficient solutions that are appropriate for the project.

Focus

  • Architectural integration

  • Visual comfort and clarity

  • Performance and efficiency

  • Long-term reliability

Lighting is considered as part of the architecture — not separate from it.

vision

To be a trusted partner in the delivery of considered lighting design, known for clarity of approach and consistency of outcome across projects.

mission

To create lighting schemes that improve the experience of spaces — supporting how they are used, how they are perceived, and how they perform.

This is achieved through thoughtful design, careful specification, and a collaborative working process.

belief

We see light as an integral part of architecture.

Not something applied at the end of a project, but a material that shapes space, defines form, and influences how environments are experienced.

When considered early, lighting becomes part of the architecture itself — contributing to the life and character of a space.
