Office lighting design – with IPUT Real Estate

Wink provided the lighting design and supply for part of the refurb of One Grand Canal Square, one of Dublin’s most iconic office buildings for IPUT Real Estate and MCA Architects. We provided lighting solutions for the serviced office space on the second floor as well as lighting design for the building’s main reception lobby on the ground floor and the basement area.

In the serviced office area of the Second Floor, Wink created a lighting solution based on maintaining sufficient lights levels at task locations while not over-lighting the space. Throughout, low glare fittings were used to create a comfortable working atmosphere – reducing the headaches and eyestrain associated with glare and improving concentration.

In the reception area, the acoustic Linea light also from Flexicca was selected. This fitting provides both high quality light and acoustic control; dampening sound and reducing unwanted noise, thanks to the ecoPET shade.

Wink used striking Paulo Coehlo Glow lights in breakout spaces. The ceiling lamp suspension which has a half ball in acrylic black.

Downlights from AlphaLED were used in the building’s entrance lobby to provide the general lighting. Accents were added with a variety of Wink’s linear LED profiles. Specialist shuttered projectors by LineaLight were used to highlight an art piece with no light spill onto the adjacent wall.
