Drone footage of bridge lighting by Wink

One of our speciality areas is lighting bridges and we’ve recently completed 3 in Glasgow, Scotland. The drone footage shown here is of Sighthill bridge, a pedestrian and cycle bridge connecting Sighthill and communities in North Glasgow to the city centre.
Bridges live a hard life with cyclic vibration, water infiltration, extreme environment and human risks so it’s important to choose products which can withstand this kind of wear and tear.

We use KLIK handrail pods for low level lighting and used over 100 on the Sighthill bridge. These can be easily and seamlessly installed in hollow rails to wash light over the path and are an excellent illuminator for pedestrians and cyclists. As these are placed in the handrail, the light emission has limited light spill and pollution to the surrounding area.

Lumenpulse (Canada) is another great brand which we are partners with. They have highout shielded fittings which are extremely durable as they can provide anti-corrosion finishes for hostile environments.

Our lighting designer, Aimee Corcoran, was the design lead for these bridges. She would be delighted to discuss any bridge projects with you.
