Modus by LineaLight is a system designed with wellness in mind and can help meet a number of requirements of the WELL standard.
‘Human Centric Lighting’
This system is optimised for Human Centric Lighting, conceived to improve time spent in work and study spaces based on the principles of the Circadian rhythm. This product was conceived and designed to provide extremely high visual and dwelling comfort for the residents, increasing wellness and improving productivity
‘Reducing Glare’
The combination of up and down lighting is a great way to reduce glare to meet Light feature 04 of the WELL standard; Electric Light Glare Control. Glare is when a light source is excessively bright compared to the background. Illuminating the ceiling and having shielded and directed down-lights as Modus does is a two pronged approach to reducing glare which not only makes for a much more comfortable space but can actually avoid the serious health issues which can arise from exposure to glare.
‘Circadian Lighting Design’
Additionally Modus can be configured with dynamic white light, allowing the colour temperature of the light to track with the circadian rhythm throughout the day: whiter light with more of the blue wavelengths which wake us up and promote focus during the work day and warmer light, cutting back on these wavelengths in the evening allowing us to relax and wind down. These features can help with Light features 01 and 03 of the WELL standard; Light Exposure and Circadian Lighting Design.
