Our latest retail lighting project at the MacDonagh Junction shopping centre, Kilkenny. Carraig Donn is an Irish owned retailer of fashion, jewellery and giftware products with 42 branches nationwide.
An essential step of the Carraig Donn project and all retail projects is focusing. Focusing is an often overlooked but a really important step in the shop lighting process. It’s when the lighting designer visits the site once installation is complete to dial in the direction and focus of each individual fitting to ensure the design intention is fully realised. This allows for perfect display illumination, reduced glare, and the elimination of dark corners.
Wink’s approach starts with the team’s ambition: the architect, in this case David Williams, and the client, Carraig Donn.
