Wink lighting was brought into illuminate the altar, the centre focus of religious ceremonies.
We evaluated the current lighting setup in the church, including natural light sources and existing fixtures.
We then determined the purpose of the lighting. For an altar, the goal is typically to create a serene and focused ambiance.
Lighting fixtures that match the church’s aesthetic and complement the overall design were then selected. Bulbs with the correct colour temperature were then used.
We placed fixtures strategically to highlight the altar while avoiding shadows or glare and used adjustable fixtures to direct light precisely where it’s needed.
We consider using Casambi lighting control in all our conservation project because of it’s reliability, multi functionality and much reduced need for wiring which is perfect for heritage buildings.
