Brief: We worked in close collaboration with Paddy ,his team and the client in this church lighting design. The use of light assists to reveal and accentuate the space and enhance the architectural design. As lighting designers, we develop environments where light is an integrated part of the final built form, and not simply an application onto the fabric. We combine creativity with pragmatism ensuring the client’s lighting solution is both sustainable and easy to manage.
Wink were invited to light the Basilica , the brief was to produce a simple, elegant solution, with control and efficiency. Energy was minimised and each fitting was specified specifically for its task .
